Data we collect
None. Recoup has no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and makes no network requests of its own. We never see your name, your flights, your claims, or anything else you enter.
Data stored on your device
Everything you enter stays on your device, stored locally by the app:
— Your name, and optionally your postal address and email address, used only to fill in the claim letters the app generates for you
— Details of flights you check and claims you create (flight numbers, dates, routes, claim status, notes)
This information never leaves your device unless you choose to send it — for example, when you copy, share, or email a generated claim letter using your own apps. Deleting the app deletes this data. You can also remove individual claims within the app at any time.
Purchases
Recoup offers a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we do not receive or store your payment details, and we cannot identify who has purchased. Apple's handling of your data is described in Apple's own privacy policy.
Notifications
If you enable claim reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to us or to any server.
External links
The app contains links to airline claim pages and national aviation regulators. These open in your browser and take you to third-party websites we don't control; their privacy policies apply from that point. The app sends them no information about you.
Children
Recoup does not target children and, because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever changes any of the above — for example, by adding an optional online feature — we will update this policy and change the effective date before that version is released.
