NurseCards — Privacy Policy
NurseCards does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you on our servers. We have no servers.
About this policy
NurseCards (“the app”) is developed and published by Symphonic Grow (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what happens to information when you use the app.
The short version: NurseCards does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you on our servers. We have no servers. We have no accounts. We cannot see your study data, and we have no way to identify you.
1. Information we collect
We collect nothing. The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services, no tracking pixels, and no third-party code libraries of any kind. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, device identifiers, advertising ID (IDFA), location, contacts, photos, health data, or usage statistics.
Because we do not collect data, we do not sell, rent, share, or disclose it — there is nothing to sell or disclose.
2. Information stored on your device
The app stores the following locally on your device only:
— Study progress — which flashcards you have reviewed, your scheduling data, review history, streak, and per-drug-class accuracy statistics.
— Practice results — quiz answers, case study results, and dosage drill results, used to calculate your accuracy and weak areas.
— Settings — your exam date (if you set one), reminder preferences and reminder time.
— Purchase status — a flag recording whether the one-time unlock has been purchased.
— Widget data — your due-card count, streak, and days remaining until your exam, stored in a shared app group so the home screen and lock screen widgets can display them.
This information never leaves your device except through iCloud sync, described below. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.
3. iCloud sync
If you are signed into iCloud on your device, the app uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage to sync your study progress between your own devices (for example, your iPhone and iPad).
— This data goes to your personal iCloud account, not to us.
— We cannot access, read, or retrieve it.
— It is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy (apple.com/legal/privacy) and your iCloud settings.
— If you are not signed into iCloud, or iCloud is unavailable, the app works normally and stores everything locally.
You can disable this at any time in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud on your device.
4. Purchases
NurseCards offers a single one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the full content library. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
We never receive, see, or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID. We receive only anonymized, aggregate sales reports from Apple, which do not identify individual customers.
Purchase and refund matters are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes).
5. Notifications
If you enable study reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated entirely on-device by iOS.
There is no push notification server, no remote messaging, and no device token is created, transmitted, or stored. We have no ability to send you a message. You can turn reminders off inside the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
6. Contacting support
The app includes a “Report an issue” button that opens your device's email app with a pre-filled message addressed to contact@symphonicgrow.com. No message is sent unless you choose to send it.
If you do email us, we will receive whatever you include — typically your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you and to correct errors in the app's content. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share your message with third parties. We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your issue and keep a record of content corrections.
7. Internet access and web content
The app does not include a web browser and does not load remote content. All study material is bundled inside the app and available offline. The only network activity is Apple's own iCloud sync and App Store purchase processing.
8. Tracking
We do not track you. We do not monitor your activity across other apps or websites, and we do not work with data brokers, ad networks, or analytics providers. Because we perform no tracking, the app does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
9. Children's privacy
NurseCards is intended for nursing students and healthcare professionals and is rated for users aged 16 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children. Since no data is collected at all, no child's personal information can be received by us.
10. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or erase on request. You retain complete control over the information stored on your device:
— Delete your study data — open the app's Settings and use “Reset all progress.”
— Delete everything — remove the app from your device; all local data is deleted with it.
— Delete iCloud copies — go to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. These rights are satisfied by design: we act as a data controller in name only, since we process no personal data. Any personal data you voluntarily send by email is processed on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not collect personal information and have never sold or shared it. We do not use sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics.
11. Data security
Study data stays within your device's sandbox and is protected by iOS file-level encryption and your device passcode. Data synced through iCloud is protected by Apple's encryption in transit and at rest. Since we operate no servers and hold no user data, there is no central database that could be breached.
12. International transfers
We do not transfer your data internationally because we do not receive it. Any iCloud data is stored and transferred by Apple according to Apple's own policies and infrastructure.
13. Medical disclaimer
NurseCards is an educational study aid for exam preparation. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and must not be used to guide patient care. Always follow your institution's policies, your instructors' guidance, and current prescribing information.
NCLEX® and NCLEX-RN® are registered trademarks of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN), which does not endorse, sponsor, or review this app.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised version at this URL. If a future version of the app ever collects data, we will update this policy before that version is released and describe clearly what changes.
